Who is The City of God & Why Should I Give to This Cause?
In just a few short years, The City of God Ministries has grown and developed into a strong and fruitful center of compassionate ministry and has become a place of blessing and restoration for many.
The City of God Ministries has been strategically placed in the Enderly Park community of West Charlotte and we are positively impacting the community in many ways.
Our “Two Fish Five Loaves” food pantry is serving over 300 families on a weekly basis with food, personal & household items. Our partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank has caused our facility to be named as the main food distribution site within the Enderly Park community. Angel Closet serves as an extension of the pantry and provides clothes, shoes and other items for families and those reentering the work force. Our onsite GED program offered along with our partnership with Central Piedmont Community College, affords us the opportunity to provide adult education classes twice weekly. The City of God also welcomes the presence of our most recent partnership, Outflow Adult Day & Health Care Center. Outflow offers socialization and stimulation for adults by improving their quality of life by offering a number of programs and activities.
In addition to these vital services, our ministry also provides other fellowship and mentoring opportunities including , two girls mentoring programs, men’s and women’s ministry, marriage ministry, and a host of other training and development opportunities.
Our ministry is currently facing a financial barrier as we seek to obtain ownership of our current location. We need you to help us achieve the victory and break through this barrier. We must raise finances to secure our current location and insure a future of longevity and meaningful ministry.
Our call and mission as well as our understanding of partnerships and our purpose within our community prove that we really understand the fact that “we are better together.” We need your help to help us secure our present location and continue making a difference in the lives of so many.
